Where to start
- Have a board in your hand? Go to Get started — flash, app, Bluetooth pairing, first readings.
- Already running a node? The cards above are the features; each page has a "switch it on" section.
- Building something on top? See API & protocols.
How the pieces fit
The node is an ESP32 at your home running open firmware. It talks to the Sensmos backend over one outgoing WebSocket — that is what makes remote access work behind CGNAT — and it talks to your LAN directly (HTTP API, MQTT, Home Assistant). Your phone app holds your wallet and is the only thing allowed to configure the node or open a tunnel into it. The network is every other node: they measure the internet home-to-home, hear each other's LoRa radios, and share a daily reward emission.
Nothing in the system needs an account. Identity is a key pair generated on the board; ownership is your wallet address.
